FOR
SALE: 1979 FERRARI 308GTB SOLD
If you are looking for a 308 that has been kept in its "original" condition, look elsewhere. This car has been updated both in looks and performance and certainly surpasses the "original". IMHO the best looking 308GTB of its years. I am selling this to upgrade to a 456GT since I have a 10 year old boy and now need a 2+2.
There has been more than $80,000 spent on this car, so the buyer is getting a hell of a good value.
Model: 308GTB (carbureted)
Year: 1979
VIN: F106AB29473
Odometer: 55,162 miles (only 7,000 miles on the rebuilt motor)
Car location: Seattle, WA
For Canadian Buyers:
This car is exempt from Canadian import requirements
because it is over 15 years old

Clear title and never been in an accident .I bought this car in 1998 and it has been restored inside and out.
Condition is EXCELLENT. No door dings. This car used to be red and was repainted Ferrari Fly Yellow in 1999 (a $14,000 paint job). Old paint was stripped to bare metal and meticulously refinished and painted. Also, the 288GTO style front (fiberglass air dam, bumper, grille and driving lights) was added to give this car a unique and distinctive look.
Last summer the car was serviced by Carlo Durante of Alfa of Tacoma (he is the legendary Ferrari go-to-guy in the Pacific NW). He fixed a small oil leak and a bunch of other things (over $4k worth of work). It ran great and sounded great after his service. Since he worked on the car, I have put only 908 miles on the car, it has been kept under car cover, the battery is constantly tendered by a trickle charge. I would fire it up and drive it around a bit from time to time to keep things fresh.

The car is normally kept in an underground garage with a cover
The wheels have been upgraded to 16" 308QV wheels of later years. Slight curb rashes on 3 of the 4 wheels.

Is this car flawless? No. Owning a 25 year old Ferrari is always a hobby as I am constantly improving things and tinkering/replacing small items, and the next owner should have that same expectation as well. If you want a car that is perfect and you just go in and drive, get a new one. But I am a straight shooter so I will document all the flaws here. The car is sold as is so you should take these flaws into consideration.
